HOW TO BE A DOCTOR TO YOUR CHILD
A Blueprint for Every Parent Who Wants to Understand Their Child's Health
A 5-Week Live International Programme with Dr Rukshin Master
UNDERSTAND MORE • WORRY LESS • MAKE MORE INFORMED DECISIONSJOIN THE FOUNDING COHORT — S$399
THERE HAS NEVER BEEN MORE INFORMATION ABOUT CHILDREN'S HEALTH.
So why do parents still feel so confused?
Your child wakes up with a fever.
Do you give something—or wait?
They've been coughing for five days.
Is that normal—or has it gone on too long?
They're breathing a little faster.
Is it because of the fever? Or should you worry?
They aren't eating.
Do you push them to eat—or leave them alone?
There's suddenly a rash.
Do you watch it? Treat it? Call the doctor?
So you do what every modern parent does.
You search.
Google gives you ten different answers.
ChatGPT gives you another list of possibilities.
Instagram tells you something else.
The parenting WhatsApp group has six opinions.
Your doctor says one thing.
Your family says another.
And somewhere between modern medicine, wellness advice, social media, grandparents, parenting groups and the internet...
you're still wondering what you should actually do.
You intervene—and wonder whether you did too much.
You wait—and wonder whether you should have acted sooner.
You do something, you feel guilty.
You don't do something, you feel guilty.
And underneath all that information is one very simple thought:
“I JUST WANT TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION FOR MY CHILD.”
That is exactly why I created this programme.
JOIN THE FOUNDING COHORT — S$399THERE IS AN ENORMOUS SPACE BETWEEN KNOWING NOTHING AND BECOMING A DOCTOR.
That space is called:
KNOWING YOUR CHILD.
How to Be a Doctor to Your Child isn't about replacing your child's doctor.
It is about giving parents something surprisingly difficult to find:
A FRAMEWORK.
A framework for understanding what you're seeing.
For recognising what matters.
For knowing what you can reasonably support at home.
For recognising when something deserves medical attention.
For understanding what the body may be trying to accomplish when it produces symptoms.
And for navigating the enormous amount of medical, nutritional, complementary and wellness information now available to parents.
IMAGINE FEELING DIFFERENT THE NEXT TIME YOUR CHILD GETS SICK.
That is the transformation I want this programme to create.
RESERVE MY PLACE — S$399WHAT IF YOU UNDERSTOOD YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH DIFFERENTLY?
Parents are constantly told:
But how often does somebody stop and explain:
Why does the body produce a fever?
Why does your child produce mucus?
Why do some children seem to catch everything?
Why do allergies, eczema, digestive complaints and recurrent respiratory problems sometimes appear alongside one another?
What actually contributes to a resilient immune system?
How much do sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, relationships and environment matter?
How do the brain, nervous system and immune system communicate?
And perhaps most importantly:
When should we intervene—and when should we observe?
Over five weeks, I want to help you look at your child's health through a broader lens.
Not conventional versus alternative.
Not medicine versus nature.
But by looking at the whole child.
Put together.
THIS IS NOT ANOTHER PARENTING COURSE.
This is an education in:
CHILDREN'S HEALTH.
You will learn how to observe your child.
How to count their breathing.
How to feel their pulse.
How to assess hydration.
How to recognise signs of respiratory distress.
How to think differently about fever.
How to recognise important red flags.
How to understand immunity.
How the gut and immune system interact.
How sleep, stress and the nervous system can influence health and behaviour.
What you can reasonably support at home.
And equally importantly:
When you need professional medical help.
My aim isn't to make you more afraid of illness.
It's almost the opposite.
I want knowledge to replace some of the fear.
JOIN THE FOUNDING COHORT — S$399WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
SESSION 1
UNDERSTANDING YOUR CHILD
Health, Disease & Immunity
We begin by reframing the way we think about childhood health.
You'll learn about:
- What “health” actually means
- Why children get sick frequently
- How the developing immune system learns
- Infection and inflammation
- Why fever, mucus, coughing, vomiting and diarrhoea can occur as part of the body's response to illness
- When symptoms are useful information—and when they become concerning
- Immune resilience versus simply “boosting immunity”
- The roles of sleep, movement, nutrition, nature, stress and the microbiome
- Supporting the foundations of a resilient child
THE GOAL:
Understand what your child's body may be trying to do before deciding what to do about it.
SESSION 2
IS MY CHILD REALLY SICK?
Learn to Observe Your Child Like a Clinician
This is where things become very practical.
You'll learn:
- How to recognise a child who looks genuinely unwell
- How to measure temperature properly
- What fever does—and doesn't—tell you
- How to count respiratory rate
- How to observe your child's breathing
- Signs of increased work of breathing
- Wheezing and other abnormal breathing sounds
- What you can observe around the ribs, chest, neck and nostrils
- How to feel and count a pulse
- How to assess hydration
- What urine output, tears and a dry mouth can tell you
- Why alertness and responsiveness matter
- What to observe in mucus, stool and vomit
- How to monitor common colds, coughs and fevers
- When watchful waiting may be reasonable
- When your child should be medically assessed
- Important RED FLAGS that require urgent medical attention
PLUS:
THE SICK CHILD OBSERVATION SHEET
A simple reference for recording:
Temperature • Respiratory Rate • Pulse • Fluids • Urine • Symptoms • Behaviour • Medication • Changes Over Time
THE GOAL:
Replace panic and guesswork with structured observation.
SESSION 3
THE THRIVING BRAIN
Behaviour, Concentration, Sleep & Emotional Regulation
Health isn't simply the absence of infection.
A child's ability to sleep, concentrate, learn, communicate, regulate emotions and cope with their environment matters enormously.
We'll explore:
- Attention and concentration
- ADHD and attention difficulties
- Behaviour as communication
- Sleep and brain development
- Screens and overstimulation
- Movement and outdoor exposure
- Nutrition and cognitive performance
- Stress and the developing nervous system
- The mind–body connection
- Emotional regulation
- Family environment and routines
- Building resilience
- When behavioural, emotional or developmental changes warrant professional assessment
THE GOAL:
Understand not only how your child behaves—but what may be influencing that behaviour.
SESSION 4
THE GUT–ALLERGY–IMMUNE CONNECTION
Nutrition, Digestion, Eczema & Allergies
Constipation.
Bloating.
Abdominal discomfort.
Eczema.
Allergic rhinitis.
Food reactions.
Recurrent infections.
Parents often encounter these as completely separate problems.
In this session, we'll look at where these systems genuinely intersect—and where popular wellness claims can sometimes oversimplify the science.
We'll explore:
- The developing gut microbiome
- The gut–immune relationship
- Constipation and healthy bowel habits
- Fibre and hydration
- Food diversity
- Practical healthy eating for children
- Ultra-processed foods
- Prebiotics and probiotics
- Allergies versus intolerances
- Eczema and skin-barrier health
- Allergic rhinitis
- Respiratory allergies
- Inflammation
- Restrictive diets
- When digestive, skin or allergic symptoms deserve further investigation
THE GOAL:
Give you a sensible framework for supporting the foundations of health from the inside out.
SESSION 5
THE HOME HEALTH TOOLKIT
What Can I Actually Do When My Child Is Sick?
This is where everything comes together.
We'll discuss supportive home management for many of the everyday situations almost every family encounters:
Fever • Colds • Coughs • Blocked Noses • Sore Throats • Mild Vomiting • Diarrhoea • Constipation • Abdominal Discomfort • Minor Injuries • Insect Bites • Mild Skin Complaints • Eczema Support • Headaches • Motion Sickness • Mouth Ulcers • Teething • Appetite Changes • Sleep Disturbance • Recovery After Illness
Where relevant we'll explore:
HOME CARE
Simple supportive measures you can use at home.
FOOD & HYDRATION
What may help during illness.
INTEGRATIVE SUPPORT
An evidence-aware discussion of commonly used supplements and supportive approaches, including safety considerations.
HOMEOPATHIC APPROACHES
An educational introduction to commonly used homeopathic approaches and how homeopaths differentiate between remedies.
WHAT NOT TO DO
Common mistakes parents can make when managing illness at home.
WHAT TO WATCH
Signs that the situation may be changing.
WHEN TO STOP
How to recognise when home management is no longer appropriate.
WHEN TO SEEK HELP
Knowing when your child needs professional medical assessment.
THE GOAL:
Give you a practical framework you can return to long after the programme has finished.
HI, I'M DR RUKSHIN MASTER.
PhD (Homeopathy) • MD (Homeopathy – Paediatrics) • BHMS
Children's health has formed a major part of my life's work.
My journey through medicine and homeopathy has included nearly two decades of training and clinical work, with more than a decade spent caring for patients and families.
Over those years, I've learned that understanding a child's health requires us to look beyond a diagnosis or isolated symptom.
We need to understand the child.
Their immune system.
Their physical constitution.
Their nutrition.
Their sleep.
Their development.
Their nervous system.
Their emotional world.
Their environment.
And the family and circumstances surrounding them.
That philosophy has shaped the way I practise, research and teach.
FROM CLINIC TO HOSPITAL TO RESEARCH TO TEACHING
I completed my postgraduate MD training with a specialisation in Homeopathy and Paediatrics, with academic work focused on paediatric respiratory disease.
I subsequently undertook doctoral research studying homeopathic treatment in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder through a randomised, placebo-controlled clinical trial conducted at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai.
My research has been published and presented internationally.
I have worked clinically across hospital and private-practice environments in India and Singapore, with particular interests in:
Children's Health
Immunity & Recurrent Infections
Allergies, Eczema & Respiratory Disease
Digestive Health
Autism & Neurodevelopment
Behavioural & Emotional Health
Women's & Family Health
FROM CLINICIAN TO RESEARCHER TO TEACHER
Today, a significant part of my work also involves teaching.
I teach homeopathic students and practitioners internationally, sharing clinical experience and helping practitioners connect textbook knowledge with what actually walks through the clinic door.
I have lectured and presented at professional meetings and international homeopathic conferences on children's health, immunity, neurodevelopment, homeopathy and integrative approaches to healthcare.
I have been invited to discuss paediatric homeopathy through podcasts and educational platforms.
I am an author and co-author and continue to work on educational material designed to translate complex clinical and integrative concepts into information that can actually be used.
But How to Be a Doctor to Your Child is different.
Because this time, I don't want to teach practitioners.
I WANT TO TEACH PARENTS.
A LEGACY OF MEDICINE
I have also had the unusual privilege of growing up within a family deeply immersed in homeopathic medicine.
My father, Dr Farokh Master, is an internationally recognised homeopathic clinician, author and teacher whose work has taken him around the world.
I grew up surrounded by clinical conversations, books, cases, teaching and an approach to medicine that continually asked us to look beyond a diagnosis and understand the person experiencing it.
That legacy profoundly shaped the way I think.
But my own journey through paediatrics, research, hospital work, clinical practice, motherhood and integrative medicine eventually created another question:
How much of this knowledge could we give directly to parents?
That question became this programme.
BECAUSE PARENTS DESERVE MORE THAN INSTRUCTIONS.
I don't simply want to tell you:
“Do this.”
“Don't do that.”
“Give this.”
“Stop that.”
I want you to understand:
WHY?
Throughout this programme, we'll examine some of the assumptions parents commonly hear about childhood illness.
We'll ask questions.
We'll look at research.
We'll distinguish between what we know, what the evidence suggests, what remains uncertain, and what may simply have become accepted because it has been repeated often enough.
Sometimes the evidence will support conventional medical practice.
Sometimes it may challenge popular wellness advice.
Sometimes an integrative perspective may add something useful.
And sometimes the safest answer will simply be:
YOUR CHILD NEEDS A DOCTOR.
Being able to distinguish between those situations is part of genuine health literacy.
THE CHILD BEHIND THE BODY
Children don't experience their health in isolation.
Their nervous systems are constantly responding to their surroundings.
These experiences can influence sleep, appetite, behaviour, attention and physical wellbeing.
That does not mean physical illness is “all in the mind.”
It means that the:
continually interact.
Understanding those connections can change the questions we ask about a child.
And sometimes better questions lead us towards better answers.

FIVE WEEKS THAT COULD CHANGE THE WAY YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH.
You don't need to become your child's doctor.
Despite the name of this programme, that's not really what I'm asking you to do.
I'm asking something much simpler:
BECOME A PARENT WHO UNDERSTANDS MORE.
Imagine looking at your unwell child and knowing what you should observe.
Imagine understanding what their temperature tells you—and what it doesn't.
Imagine knowing how to assess their breathing.
Imagine recognising the signs of dehydration.
Imagine understanding when you can reasonably watch and support.
Imagine having a practical resource to reach for when you're unsure what to do.
And imagine having greater clarity about when it's time to stop watching and seek professional help.
There will always be uncertainty in parenting.
No programme can remove that.
But knowledge can give you a framework for navigating it.
FIVE WEEKS.
TEN HOURS.
ONE PRACTICAL HANDBOOK.
A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAY OF LOOKING AT YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH.
